Matinee by the Mary – The Best of Opera, Operetta and Musical Theatre

An Afternoon of Song

Nine of Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University’s vocal students, led by Associate Professor Margaret Schindler and accompanied by Ms Jillianne Stoll, will perform a selection of opera classics, operetta and musical theatre.

The repertoire of over 20 songs will include arias and ensembles by Mozart, Puccini and Rossini, together with some light-hearted operetta by Lehár, followed by Music Theatre treats including selections from Carousel and Kiss Me, Kate.

Before the concert join us for drinks on the deck with Mary River in the background then relax in the comfort of the Main Auditorium for the second of the 2025 Concert Series brought to you by Maryborough Regional Arts Council. As usual, there will be an opportunity to meet the performers in the foyer after the concert.
