Set in Tangier and directed by Maryam Touzani (The Blue Caftan), this drama features Carmen Maura starring as Maria, a widow whose daughter now living in Madrid wants to sell the family apartment against her mother's wishes. The daughter was left the apartment by her father and needs money following a bitter divorce.

The film was Morocco's entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards and had its world premiere at the 82nd Venice Film Festival where it won an Audience Award in the Venice Spotlight section. It also picked up some other awards at smaller festivals. Carmen Maura is splendid as the 79-year-old widow fighting to keep her home and her community, who finds unexpected romance along the way.

The film examines themes like autonomy for older people, elder abuse, and whether parents should make sacrifices for their children. The critics were very favourable, praising its energy, great street scenes and Maura's performance.
